Well, now that everyone in the outside world knows, I can finally share it here!
Apparently, during the month we decided to take a break from all the tracking and charting so I wouldn’t be pregnant during my sisters wedding, it actually happened. We have been trying for a while, and nothing. We take a break…first month. I was already 5 weeks when I found out, so at my first appointment, baby looking like nothing. We could see the sac, but this was all the baby photo we could get.
I was right at 5 weeks here.
Then, at my next appointment two weeks later, I got to hear the heartbeat! And the little jelly bean was definitely visible! Hearing the heart beat, I squalled. I was so nervous that something would go wrong, but there it was… 151 BPM!
7 weeks 2 days in this one.
Yesterday, I went to the doctor for my prenatal blood work and the nurse practitioner decided to do another ultrasound to get a good heart rate reading. I definitely wasn’t expecting to see this!
It looks like a little person! And it was dancing around and it waved! Again, I squalled my eyes out. It is the most amazing thing I’ve ever seen. He/She has a nice strong heart rate of 162 BPM, and the cutest little hands and feet! My husband hasn’t come to an appointment yet, as we hadn’t told anyone so he couldn’t just ask off from work, but when I sent him the video, he showed everyone at work. He is so excited and was so happy to see a little person instead of little Shrimp! Lol
We told all of our family and friends last night and shared it on Facebook with everyone. Our parents have known for about a month, as I didn’t want to keep it from them. Both my mom (now Yaya) and my mother in law (now Gigi) are so excited to go buy baby stuff they can’t stand it. Our dads, on the other hand, are holding on to their wallets for dear life at this point! They are Pappy (my father in law) and Big Daddy (my dad), and my siblings are Bubba and Auntie. Lol not conventional names, but my parents are in their 40s and don’t want to be mamaw and papaw! And my brother is 16 so, he didn’t want to just be Uncle Jake.
My due date is March 6, 2017. We are super nervous, but excited! It will be here before we know it, and I’m so grateful to be able to experience this miracle. Not only am I thankful to be pregnant, but I’m thankful I won’t be huge until WINTER! Thank ya Jesus! I’ll be sure to update more, it’s just been INSANE these past 5 weeks. So…in the mean time…go check out this of the ultrasound where little peanut was just a dancing and waving!
(WordPress won’t let me insert a video, so a youtube link it is!
